Get Rid of Pet Hair
Chom Chom Roller Pet Hair RemoverIf you have pets, you likely have a small stash of lint rollers or heavy-duty tape lying around, but nothing beats the Chom Chom Roller, particularly for furniture. Just roll it over whatever surface and it removes nearly every speck of hair and dust and traps it inside. Take it over to the garbage and empty. It’s an absolute must for our cat homes because it really works and you only have to buy it once, rather than needing to replace rolls. There are a few color and pattern variations available, each at slightly different prices. This is one of those Prime Day pet deals people go crazy for every year, and make sure you clip the on-page coupon to see the full discount.

A Tote for Your Dog
Roverlund Out-and-About Pet ToteIf you live in an urban area like New York City, you'll have to get used to carrying your pup in a bag to enter certain areas, like the subway system. WIRED editor Julian Chokkattu has used this Roverlund tote for years with few qualms. His 17-pound dog fits perfectly, and there's a soft pad at the base for comfort and stability. The thick straps could stand to be a bit longer as they might slide off your shoulder (not a problem if you're not 6'4" like Chokkattu).

Clean Your Carpets
Hoover PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet CleanerWhen I tested this carpet cleaner, it immediately reminded me of a toy vacuum, but I mean that as a compliment. It’s light and more compact than some other options, which means it’s basically effortless to maneuver around a room. It cleaned up stains—from cat puke to spilled drinks—well, but Hoovers all tend to have annoyingly thin nozzle openings that get hair and other nastiness stuck in it. This was frequently $90 when we first tried it, but it’s since been at its full price of $120 (and sometimes even more) more often.

Cat Furniture Plus Scratcher
PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher LoungeYou should always have a few scratchers around for your cats. Many are quite cheap, but I like Pet Fusion because its loungers are super strong—I can literally stand on them—and double as a big enough space to play and sleep. They also look relatively nice in the room compared with the random rectangles of cardboard you might otherwise get. They’re usually pricey, so it’s a good idea to grab one or two when on sale.

A Comfortable Dog Bed
Casper Dog BedWe love Casper’s beds for us and our dogs. Price varies depending on size and color, but no matter the aesthetics, your dog gets sturdy memory foam that should be comfortable for all ages of joints and muscles, plus a machine-washable cover to make your life easier. It’s not so thick that senior dogs or dogs with mobility issues should have trouble getting in. Basically, if you’re not sure what to get for you or your dog to sleep in, Casper is pretty much always a good choice.

Hydrated Kitties
Catit Pixi Smart Fountain and FeederSome cats prefer running water over a bowl that’s been sitting out, so water fountains are popular. Catit has a smart and regular version and both are great options. The smart one alerts you of lower water levels and reminds you to change the filter via the app. There’s also a small LED that shines through the cat nose on the front of the fountain that turns red if the water is low and blinks blue when the filter needs changing. If you get the smart feeder too, you can set daily schedules or pour food remotely using the app.

More Clean Carpets!
Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet CleanerOur top carpet cleaner from Bissell isn’t currently available, but if you need something powerful, I was thoroughly impressed with the HydroSteam’s ability to clean up all sorts of stains both new and old—listen, you find things when you move. This bundle includes an upholstery cleaner as well as a “tough stain tool” for cleaning smaller areas without steam. It’s also easy to clean the actual device once you’ve cleaned the floor. Just pop off the plastic piece covering the brushes. But it’s big, so you need somewhere to store it.

Where Did Your Cat Come From?
Basepaws Breed + Health Cat DNA TestHaving a pet is magical, but can also be scary when health issues arise. Basepaws gives you thorough information about potential health risks and your cat’s breed lineage. We found the results to be quite thorough and while there’s no way to say 100 percent whether your cat will develop a disease or not, it can help you and your vet make smart decisions now to prepare for the future.

Easy Poop Removal
Neakasa M1 Self-Cleaning Litter BoxSelf-cleaning litter boxes ensure your cats have a clean place to go and it takes away one daily chore from your list. I’ve tried three so far, and Neakasa’s open-top design will appeal to cats who hate having to duck into a box. It also has a unique waste drawer that cuts out a lot of odor while emptying it—pull the garbage bag strings to close it, masking most of the smell before you actually have to open the drawer all the way. We just suggest keeping a close eye on your cat’s habits so you don’t accidentally miss an important health sign you might otherwise notice by cleaning their litter box.

Keep an Eye on Your Pets
Eufy Pet Camera Pro N140If you need a camera for keeping an eye on your pet, we love Eufy’s Pet Camera Pro best. It has 2K video resolution and rotates 360 degrees to see exactly where Fido or Whiskers has wandered to. Using the app, you can throw treats to your pets too. One of our favorite things about Eufy is that you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription to get video history. About 15 days of storage is included with the price of the camera. The white version that’s available on the same buy page is older, with 1080p video instead of 2K. If that one is discounted cheaper, it’s still a good buy.

A Rotating View
Petcube Cam 360Eufy’s pet camera is the best, but even on sale it’s still expensive. Petcube’s Cam 360 gives you similar 360-degree coverage for a fraction of the price. The base rotates like any 360 cam, but it also has a separate lens that moves autonomously up and down. I love that extra coverage, and if you turn on privacy mode, the lens rotates all the way down to cover itself. For the affordable price, though, you’ll have to deal with some app quirks like lagginess, which can be annoying when you just want to check in.
