At Facebook's developer conference, the company announced a new feature: Secret Crush. Secret Crush will allow Facebook Dating users to select up to nine friends they want to express interest in. It's kind of like matching on Tinder or Bumble, but it's your actual friends. You'll get a notification if someone adds you to their secret crush list, but you won't know who it is unless you also happened to add them to yours. Facebook says it won't use Secret Crush data to inform advertising, for now. It's currently available only in countries where Facebook Dating is (sorry, Americans).

"A few years ago, we probably would have just rolled this out and then tried to adjust and address issues as they came up,” Zuckerberg said. “Now we're going out and consulting with experts and trying to make sure that we get this balance right.”
