Given *Suicide Squad'*s tepid critical reception, you'd be forgiven for thinking Warner Bros. was dialing back its big superhero plans this week. Nope! Instead, a Warners project many thought would never see the light of day is making a comeback. There are also a couple of Fox-related stories that have an eery "summer 2015" feel, and a beloved Marvel character has returned to delight us all. This, dear friends, is the highlight reel of the last seven days' worth of superhero movie news.
Sure, the critics really, really didn't like Suicide Squad, but Margot Robbie doesn't care. The actress told Tipsy Talk that playing Harley Quinn in the movie made her "feel like I hit the lottery" because of the complexity of the character—and also because "the chicks never get these roles... we never get the roles where we have the funny one-liners and then the kick-ass action scene." She loved it so much, she said, that she's already planning on returning to Quinn in a spinoff centering on her relationship with the Joker. "I'm trying to make that happen," she said when asked about the possibility. "There's so much more to do."
Why this is super: Robbie's portrayal of Harley was easily the best part of Squad. Give her some better material (and, ideally, separate her from the Joker as quickly as possible so that she gets to realize how screwed up and abusive that relationship is), and everyone will be all the better.
Take this one with a grain of salt, but The Wrap is reporting that Man of Steel is going to get a full-on, Batman-less, sequel at some point in the future, with the character being seen as a "a top priority for the studio" as it continues to build its DC cinematic universe. Well, if Batman is getting his own standalone movie post-Justice League, then sure—Superman should get one, too.
Why this is super: The real question is, would Zack Snyder be involved in any potential Superman II, or would he be too busy with the Justice League movies? Because if it's the latter, what are the odds we'll get to see Superman smile in this movie?

Why this is super: Finally, Marvel's best bad guy is set to return. How long before Marvel Studios wises up and makes Hiddleston an offer to anchor a full-on Loki movie, anyway?
It's the comic book sequel no one really believes will happen, but if it turns out that there is a follow-up to last year's Fantastic Four, Miles Teller is ready to show up to become Mister Fantastic one more time. "I loved the cast, I loved the characters. I think it’s such an interesting dynamic. I love how much they really need to rely on each other," he told JoBlo. "Yeah, absolutely, I would do another one."
Why this is super: The idea of a second Fantastic Four has been going around since even before Josh Trank's first one flopped. At this point, with Michael B. Jordan signed on to Black Panther over at Marvel, it seems increasingly unlikely that it could actually happen, but if Fox is invested enough, anything is possible.
Surprising absolutely no one, Patrick Stewart has teased that his appearance in next year's sequel to The Wolverine will be the end of his involvement in Fox's X-Men movie series. "I would imagine this is probably the end of the franchise for me," the actor told ITV during a recent public appearance, before immediately backtracking. "The thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it's the end."
Why this is super: We could be wrong, but isn't this at least the third time Stewart has said that he's done with the X-Men franchise? Hugh Jackman likes to talk about his final stand on a regular basis, but this is getting ridiculous by now. Can someone just outright kill Xavier in the Wolverine movie so we can all get on with our lives? (Yes, we know that they tried that in X-Men: The Last Stand, but so much of that movie doesn't count anymore.)
