Help Make LA Game Space a Reality

Today I came across a Kickstarter project for the LA Game Space, which aims to be a nonprofit center for art, design, and research. This gigantic LA warehouse has the potential to be a game incubator at its finest. Plans include an artist residency, galleries, game research labs (providing data to researchers worldwide), and speakers and workshops.

Today I came across a Kickstarter project that made me wish so hard that I lived on the other coast. The LA Game Space aims to be a nonprofit center for art, design, and research. This gigantic LA warehouse has the potential to be a game incubator at its finest, coupling it with an education piece that's very exciting. Plans include an artist residency, galleries, game research labs (providing data to researchers worldwide), and speakers and workshops. Freed from commercial limitations, designers and artists really have the chance to innovate.

If that's not exciting enough, rewards include a new game by Keita Takahashi (creator of Katamari Damacy), t-shirts by eBoy and Bryan Lee O'Malley (of Scott Pilgrim fame), and your very own pixel portrait, not to mention 30 original games from indie creators. Find the details on the Kickstarter project page.

They're trying to raise $250,000. People, please, can we band together to help them raise twice that and get an East Coast location, too?
