Amazon Leaks Supposed <cite>Mass Effect 2</cite> Details

Amazon.com's Mass Effect 2 product listing contains what appears to be the first details on the sequel's plot.

The second chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy takes you to the darkest reaches of space, where you must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of humans across many worlds. Prepare yourself for a suicide mission to save mankind. Travel the galaxy to assemble a team of soldiers and combat specialists, and launch an all-out assault on the heart of enemy territory.

If true, the short synopsis stands as the first information on Mass Effect 2's plot. As developer BioWare has yet to confirm any of the information contained on Amazon's product listing, take this information with a grain of salt.

Mass Effect 2 is scheduled for release in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
